Immigration and commercial tension between China and the US have created opportunities to bring production and value chains closer to our region (nearshoring). The success of nearshoring depends on the efforts and collaboration of all: governments at all levels, the private sector, and civil society in Honduras, the USA, Guatemala, and El Salvador. That’s Think HUGE’s mission and what companies value most. Interactions between the government and the private sector that identify and address problems and opportunities are a mutual responsibility. The role of the private sector is to invest, compete and pay its taxes, to create well-paid jobs with good social benefits, to maintain global labor standards, and to ensure the well-being of its employees and their communities.
