Today, we’re highlighting the XOCHI Bypass Road, an inspiring infrastructure project in Guatemala. Led by IDC Networks, founded by visionary Richard Aitkenhead (CEO of IDC, HUGE Founder and Board Member), the XOCHI Bypass is a new four-lane alternative route connecting KM 142 to KM 173 of the West CA-2 highway, a key link between Mexico and central Guatemala.
What sets this project apart? The XOCHI Bypass Road is breaking new ground by democratizing private investment—shares are offered on the Guatemalan stock exchange, and local landowners in the project’s right-of-way have the chance to invest. This landmark project includes over 50 bridges to protect river paths, 70,000 native trees for ecological balance, rest areas, and significant job creation to drive local economic growth.
