A pivotal time

HUGE represents the first joint effort of private sector job creators from all three Central American countries and their United States counterparts to drive massive job creation in these countries, including the United States.

In addition to supporting the development of individual investment projects, as part of its mission HUGE seeks to bring together key stakeholders in the United States and the Northern Triangle, including small and medium size enterprises, civil society organizations, and the public sector, to sponsor flagship regional infrastructure projects that will catapult the region’s competitiveness.

Building the “American Dream” at Home

HUGE is a market-based response to a humanitarian crisis, as illustrated by the inability of millions in the Northern Triangle to provide basic needs for themselves and their families. The highly successful and responsible businesspeople who inspired the concept of HUGE did so with the understanding that the root cause of the immigration issue could be largely overcome by the creation and broad availability of stable jobs with decent benefits and adequate social services. This in turn would significantly reduce the population of Central Americans seeking the “American Dream” in the United States, because they have instead found it at home.

Creating opportunities for regional growth

The Founders of HUGE have extensive experience in generating sustainable opportunities through their own entrepreneurial endeavors and are strongly committed to engaging others to join this effort.

Our overarching goal is to facilitate at least $10 billion in investments, yielding 2 million new jobs between Honduras, the United States, Guatemala, and El Salvador (H.U.G.E.) over the next five years.

HUGE intends to achieve this through key regional infrastructure investments and by seizing nearshoring opportunities to bring manufacturing and services closer to home markets in the Americas.
